West or East what is recommended? Looking to be next to the river.

Greg told me at camper Jam but I forgot

I prefer East side, haven't stayed at the campsite but the Saracens head and the royal lodge (I think that's the name) are cracking pumps, got a hand pulley ferry crossing got to ring the bell on the riverside & someone in the pub fetches you across. Lovely place, I'm sure west is nice also but spent more time in the east.

Enjoy, gorgeous area make sure you bring bikes if you have the facility as there is a cycle centre with miles of cycle paths, if not hire is available check out the symonds yat rock view point. Which is above Saracens head you can walk up to the rock which is a bit of trek (not to bad) or just drive and park up they do charge for parking in the forestry car parks locals tend to find areas where now fees apply. You'll love it I'm sure, you could even hire a canoe which my partner paid for us to do for my birthday. Happy camping Ben
