Hi,

My windscreen is leaking and dripping into the fusebox (one flasher relay down so far - need to buy a light one!) - I have corrosion around the bottom of the windscreen surround so intend to sort this out and a new rubber after the summer.....is there a way to provide a temp ( ) fix for now? is it leaking at the bottom corner or likely to be somewhere else and just running down into this area and through into my fusebox?

Hoping it's a silicon sealer job to get me through the summer....let me know if anyone has had success! Or can I replace the seal for now?

Ta,

Larry

I would take the screen out to see how bad the rust is, then make your choice then. Maybe a new seal and sealant will get you through till the summer.

I had this problem.the rust is always worse than it looks. I decided to silicone it all up as it was cold & wet until the summer comes/I could get it repaired. I thought that If I take the windscreen out and find its beyond a temp fix then I'm commited and left with a worse situation, that I had to fix now at the mercy of the weather.

That;s my fear too :? - so did you silicone on the inside/outside and just in the corner? Did it fix it?

Thanks,

my problem was the usual bottom corner. I masked up the paint to make it easier to remove the over spread, lifted what I could of the seal and injected it from the outside. It worked but it wasn't pretty - purely functional, however I could of made it neater.
Cheers - Rob
