Just a shame it's a 'late' one!
I'd love to find something like that in my next-door neighbours garage!!

Never heard a bay described as a Breadloaf before, though!

Also, would it have rolled off the production line at Wolfsburg???
;)

Thats a real find! imagine if there is an early out there with that little mileage

Would be worth bazillions 8)

I remember seeing this on the Samba a few months back. Certainly a rarity and a very cool thiong to own.

Read about it in one of the papers some year ago, I think it was then when it was "descovered". Woldn't turn that in not even for a soggy BD!

Is this the same one that was in the foyer at the volksworld show either last year or the year before? Or is there another very low mile blue panel knocking around????

I bought my firebus off the guy who was advertizing this panel van. He seems to specialize is low mileage veedubs, my firebus being one of them.... but not with that low mileage! :)
He had a Karmann Ghia Coupe for sale with 9,000 miles on the clock, and he's also entering a Beetle Karmann Cabriolet into the same auction with only 71km on the clock.
Mattyd72, yes I think this is the same van that was at the Volksworld show. I seem to remember the chap telling me he'd had it on display there. :)

i would have it justin but its far too tidy for me , AND its post 72` so no good :(

Its part of Luke from Terrys Beetle Services collection ...

Another bit of trivia for you to chew on.
There is a beetle down here somewhere that I have seen at shows that is a 197? model. It has never been registered and has about 110km on the odo. Those Ks were racked up being pushed from one part of a showroom to another over the years. It is now in private hands, I can't remember much about it except it is martini olive colour.
It is only a beetle after all eh?

Does anyone know what the lovely low milage panel went for in the end ?

I understand the van and the 'new' convertable bug due for auction were both sold prior to the auction start, so will be undisclosed, I guess?

Nice chap Luke is. Very helpful.

It was his advert for the panel which drew my attention to the other vehicles he had for sale, and consequently the bay I now own which he sold me. :D

For your info regarding the auction, the panel went for £16,703, and the Karmann cabrio went for £15,879. :)
