Lovely bus. Looks very similar to mine. Out of interest how come you didn't go for chrome inserts in your seals?

I will be when the headlining is done, the seals all need replacing , I've done the light seals & started on the doors :D

It's on the road! Number plates arrived last week & I've just driven 75 miles to me mums in some of the worst rain ever in the essex area!

Really nice bus, I think I saw it at the heritage meet last month?

You did, it got delivered to work that evening :D

That makes sense, it drew a bit of a crowd! Looking forward to seeing how it progresses, I have a soft spot for beige buses. Have fun with it!

Off to action tomorrow :D

Awesome bus, where did you get your number plates from?

Not the fastest delivery (10 days) but nice plates :D

Thanks for all the lovely comments, you're all triffik! :D

Quick update, 400 mile round trip to busfest went almost without a hitch, I may have an alternator issue & can't drive for too many hours with the headlights on! Also the gear coupling screw came out on the way back & lost gears but that was a quick fix (always carry cable ties)

I also realised that driving for long periods without a stop tends to give me a numb ass so I took the seats apart for some new padding, I did intend to refit the seat covers but as with everything non- metal on this bus turns to dust!

Not much to report lately, been refurbing the door panels, transferring the original vinyl to new boards, waterproof pva on the back & tidying the inside of the doors

Those plastic vents are very fragile!

Spindles arrived this morning, thanks Pascal, been hassling him since I bought my bay, time to order the 'Bustang' brakes to go on them! :D

Got a full day on the bus today, finished the brakes, new accelerator cable, & got the doors weather proofed with a lot of help from my friend & colleague James
