The Egotrip bus: slammed Nov 69 Kombi

Just getting the bus ready for a little trip later this week, going back to Belgium for a few days for some drinking and vintage design shopping in Ghent and Antwerp.

New (old) awning ordered from Dubenhams, now we just have to pack now and go

The stroker motor is now run in having done at least 2000 miles since its install, so I should be able to take it up to 5250rpm now. Still have not had time to get it serviced and re-tuned, but its not a massive road trip so should be good till we get back if I take it easy

Just done a 900 mile trip taking in the world war 1 sites around Ieper, 3 days in Ghent, 2 days on the Belgian coast and then 3 days in Suffolk

Not many bus related photos to show, but got chance to use the new Motent awning from Dubenhams. Really easy to put up and take down.

The campsite in Ghent is one of the best I have ever stayed at (apart from the mozzies :evil: )

Now I have put a few miles on the new motor (over 3000 since it was installed in April) it was time for a little tune up and power run on the rolling road yesterday.

Awful photo!

Well pleased with the results. 109.4 bhp at 4989 rpm. It was doing 105mph!

You can see on this that the power really kicks in after 2850rpm.

Well worth doing as it is running cooler and has 5 bhp more than it went in with
