The Egotrip bus: slammed Nov 69 Kombi

As seen on the 'Congratulations' thread last week, I got married

A shot of my bus at the wedding, which we used as the afternoon bar with my Westfalia sun canopy coming in to good use. I don't have any photos of it fully set up with all the coolers unfortunately.

This week I am busy prepping the bus for the upcoming 1000 mile round trip to BBT, Hessisch Oldendorf vintage show, Munster, Maastricht, European Bug-In 5 at Chimay, then possibly Blankenburge on the way home.

One job that needed doing was installing a permanent 240V hook up.

Socket hidden under the bus, just in front of the rear wheel arch...

Consumer unit and socket located in the bed base....

Having the hook-up should make life a bit easier when going away for these longer trips

Just returned from our 1100 mile round trip to BBT, Hessisch Oldendorf, Munster, Maastricht, EBI5 and Blankenberge.

Bus ran great apart from a little clutch issue at EBI, but managed to free it off so its all good.......

These photos really only show a fraction of the unbelievably rare Volkswagens, Porsche's, coachbuilts and memorabilia in this museum. Well worth a visit.

Its really a vintage only show, though they have been letting in more modified cars lately so long as they are old / rare enough.

Then after a quick break, it was on to Chimay......

I didn't take that many pics at EBI, mainly due to mud avoidance and being hammered....

Then on to Blankenberge on the way home. Pitched up with good friends....

and the ferry home...

Awesome trip. Can't wait to get back out there in August for Le Bug Show at Spa.

When we rocked up at the campsite in Blankenberge, the guy who works there came out shouting (in a Flemish accent) 'the rat bus is back!' (we have stayed there a few times now) and we he showed us to our space he says 'I ******* love your bus man!' Not something that happens at your average campsite over here!

I had a cruise around EBI trying to find somewhere to park up on the Sunday morning but it was rammed so another no show unfortunately. Did bump in to Mycha on the cruise around though
