The sticky "say Hi" thread up there^

People new to the forum come on the board, see the sticky and say hello.
Then they are completely ignored.
What's that all about? Is it clicky here or do people genuinely just not look at the thread?

I think people just dont look at that thread much, I wouldnt say its cliquey round here, well no more than other kamper based forums anyway....

Is there any truth in the rumour that you have got yourself a proper bay now mate?

I look at the thread occasionally (mainly coming in to reply to PM's/threads) - never intentionally ignore anyone? Not at all cliquey here - friendliest VW forum around 8)

A very good point and I have put an apology up to those who have not been welcomed. I'll try harder to keep my eye on this in the future.

I hope this site is welcoming to all and not cliquey in the slightest. However we have some great regulars and some amazing personalities on here, so keep posting and join in with the earlybay banter.

I have to own up and say I have not looked at that hello thread for a very long time. Its up there with the sticky threads I never look at.

I can well understand new members feeling confused when saying hello and not receiving any reply.

Perhaps those joining the forum might be better saying hello in general chat? Any thoughts anyone?

It is very quiet here though - I guess there are many more late bays than early ones.

Malc - MOT? I haven't even got hold the bus yet! I got it from Spike on here - I wanted a crumpled 68 tintop deluxe and blow me down he had one so I had to snap it up. I could have got a better one for the money, but it has the character I wanted...

That might be a good idea, , The bit we got now, does work,,,, but if you don`t see anyone on it for a while,,, then you don`t look for a while,, etc etc etc ! Maybe say hello in general chat so we know someone`s about, then pop a few piccys into the nooo dudes bit,, could all get a bit complicated. I`m feeling a bit guilty now because I was given such a fantastic reception on the latebay site when I wandered in there , not just by one of them ,, but loads of em

Should have had, but my fetcher couldn't fetch and Spike can't deliver until Monday (hopefully). I've been using "my" time to restore a customers bus so I can have a few days at mine in work time and get the MOT sorted. The interior needs "attention".

Like it,,,,,,,,, it has a very similiar interior to mine,,,,,,,,, minimilistic I call it, I have got an FGB cool box in mine though,,oh and a bed,, that`s pretty much it, park up , gazebo on the side, fire basket / bbq, plenty of cold Stella, and I`m a happy camper :mrgreen:
