Could this be one of the best looking EB's around?
I always disliked Fuchs wheels, but now that I see this one, it could change my mind.

Very nice bus indeed...

up for sale already

it's just been featured in a german magazine, and i dunno if their rules are the same as ours, but isn't it the 'law' that once you've had your bus featured in a magazine, you have to gush enthusiastically about how you've been into VWs since the second bug jam, you always dreamed of owning a ******** (insert vw model here) and this is the culmination of a lifetime's searching...

unfortunately the colour clashed with your pebbledashing so reluctantly it's now up for sale

alluded to at the end of the magnificent feature on clem & wally's lowlights in camper & bus 8)

what, on my behalf or theirs

i think we three agree on it... i remember chatting to KS a while back about the same thing, how a lot of the articles seem to start with a lifelong search... new rims, polish... and up for sale... shame really how circumstances change and force people's hands to the extent that they have to forgo something they once longed for, but i suppose a vehicle is such a big thing that you can't just pack it up into a box in the loft like i seem to do with all the stuff i no longer want but can't bear to get rid of

i thought the closing lines of the article were very subtle, but also a bit cheeky too... bit like their vans

for the record, i have absolutely NO idea why this particular bus is up for sale, but it's so cool i bet it won't be for sale for long 8)

it seems to be a common template for most magazines on feature articles, i supposes theres only so many ways you can write about a bus. The standard template supposes we are all in it for the lifestyle etc which it what most VW owners want to read about get inspiration from :D .

On the other hand most enthuiasts want to move on to the next project once they have finished the last, and dream about getting an article to show off the hard work they put into the resto before it moves on and they start afresh

i'm a bit stupid, i tend to believe everything i read, after all it must be true!? but a good dose of cynicism now and again can only be healthy :D

I still like this bus alot 8)

I agree with some of your post re You cant just pop it in a loft of garage But in my case IF I could keep the panel I would . Ive never worked so hard on a project in such quick time and managed to hit my target of all done and got it to bug jam . I agree with it is alot of cash to have tied into a vehicle and as i have 2 buses and a passat to drive when ever I want you cant drive them all at the same time . As for ending the article I think Johnnys right There is no better advertisement

funnily enough i've been thinking about your bus, i just didn't know whether to post something on your thread about it, or on your 'panel van porn' post or on here, in keeping with my tradition of going off-topic

the work you've done on it is tremendous... i reckon with the *type* of brain i've got i could handle having something entirely rusty (patinated, you know what i mean) or something entirely shiny; it's the blending in that i personally just wouldn't be able to manage, so well done... the offside rear corner in particular i think you did really well on 8)

now get it in a bin bag and hide it in the loft with the scalextric
