Hi all

What are you using?

Pros and Cons?

What have you had in the past?

What they linked up to?

Pics are always brill. Been warned off the Hex bar style but see them used regularly.

Cheers in advance

Had the hex bar myself for quite a while. Wasn’t until I had the motor out of the noisy cupboard and on the bench for splitting (cam thrust) that I realised mine had worn more on one end than the other in those nylon bushes, then I could see that both carbs couldn’t operate the same at the same time although it appeared that they did. Had a linkage set very very similar to your pic and it’s been great for about four years so far. Mine came second hand and unused from a forum member (Toffo) and I just had to change a rose joint for some reason or other.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,looks fab bud :)

I have the CSP Bell Crank linked up to Twin Webers along with Butty’s Bits Full (through chassis) linkage kit, a new Pedal a new pedal bracket and a new cable.

It’s handy to install the CSP return spring too 👍.IMG_8257.jpeg

I’ve had a hex bar for over ten years now. Like Oz said, I never really think about it. I’m sure there may be technical reasons that means it’s a flawed design, but really, it’s fine.

Looking good, pretty much what I was going for.

Does the return spring come with the kit I put in top of thread or separately?

Yea as mentioned seem to be OK but have a poor reputation. Although those who run them seem to carry plenty of springs.

Came separately on mine but if you go for butty bits pedal set up it give a good tension on the return.

It’s a separate item. Limebug have them possibly Eurocarb?

There are 2 types of spring dependent on the base material of the bellcrank linkage so be careful.

@Huyrob might still have one to spare as I told him to get one thinking he was getting the CSP Bellcrank, he may have sent it back though.

It’s a neater looking way of guaranteeing the linkage returns to idle stop position so a well worth addition as the recommended set up is to allow a little bit of slack on the cable at the Bellcrank end 👍
