Tips on removing ball joints?

Hi guys

I've the arms off of my beam at the moment, so I'm going to change the ball joints. I've got a press kit which should work to get the new ones in, but there's nowhere to "seat" the tools to be able to press them out.

Any one got any ideas, other than paying someone to do it?

I think IIRC, I used a grinder to grind away the bottom of the ball joint, knocked out the innards then cut a slit in the case of the ball joint with a hacksaw and popped that out.
I then pressed in the new ones.
