Hey all!

I've had a little search through the forums but can't see anything related.
I need to tie my van to my mechanic about 60 miles away. I've had an absolute mare trying to sort it.

I've got an A frame towing bar, but I've not having tried it today, it didn't work and kept rotating when turning, to the point that one of the arms would catch on the floor.

It is a chain and strap type A frame and I chained it would the front axle each side.

Anyone towed with this type of A frame? Is it possible and an I just fitting it wrong?

As always, help is greatly appreciated!

I'm not sure if you can "legally" tow a camper with an a frame . A bug yes but not a camper. I'm also fairly sure you carnt use one on a motorway either . There a bit if a grey area if I remember rightly?

Thanks guys. I was more wondering about the feasibility of using an A frame as opposed to the legality. That said, after a lot of farting about, I am just getting the thing transported as its been a nightmare! Cheers.
