Hi All

I bit the bullet and got dropped spindles on my 69 westy but even with my weed eater beam at full stretch it's too low and I'm bottoming out on a normal road, so the spindles must go
Just curious to see what people are offering
Let me know
Cheers

The ride will be terrible on adjusters alone dude.

Keep the dropped spindles and sort out your adjusters on the WE beam. Or buy a stock or narrowed beam.

Thanks for the offer matt but I paid £449 for them and they've only done 15 miles
Besides these kind folks are persuading e to rethink

I don't want to sound rude, but it seems to me that you know what you want for them so why not just post up the price you would like (assuming you still sellthem).
I believe itsforum rules to post a price anyway.

Fair enough Loxy, if that the rules, I was trying to see if the were worth selling or if I'd have to take a big hit to seep them.
So sorry all I'd want at least £400 plus postage so if anyone is interested let me know :)

On another note is it feasable to move and reweld the adjusters on a weed eater beam and any idea of a cost?

Cheers all and sorry for dicking about

I was thinking about the beam thing as well, I think its the upper adjuster that causes the most trouble as it catches the gearshift rod when on the setting for max lift so isnt usually adjusted right down.
Couldn't the toothed adjuster be welded in 180 degrees further round then the indent for the otsion leaves be drilled 180 degrees out for the centre grub screw? looks like theres enough space above the beam to do it, but seems to simple as I haven't seen anyone do it before.
