Morning..

I am currently planning a new twinport into my eb ('68) I looked at my current sp 1600 and the rear tinware that goes between the engine and over the gearbox is missing! :(

Ive got 99% of the twinport tinware. The question is what tinware do i need get? Can i use some TP tinware from the later bays if so what yrs fit?

Thanks

Hi!

I think you need the one year only 71 model. Though as it's quite sort after and you done see them much, most of the dealer charge a lot for these, but there is a chap on here who sell a metal plate to fix or weld onto the original tinware to be the same as the 71 tinware, just can't remember his name at the moment.....

Someone will post who can remember though....

Cheers!

Alistair

yeah steve "67 bay" does a weld on panel you just need to source the bug doghouse front tin or you can cut the outlet from an earlybay SP front tin

The bay panels are just beetle ones with an extra section spot welded on at the factory -as posted above, it is easy to replicae this with the panel this guy sells
