So I have a type 4 engine I bought last year that's been all built up by Stateside and Harry Harpics, ive been toying with the idea of converting it to upright cooling from the Joe Cali book but after seeing what Evil Ben's done recently with transplanting the entire 914 unit with cooling I'm wondering if I should go that route instead.

Has anyone done it and how much of an arse was it to do?

A type 4 engine will drop straight in to a bay if you have the appropriate tinware and engine bar.
The engine in question was fitted to a bodydropped bay, that's why there was so much modification.

Yeah I did see that it's from the laundry van just thought rather than going to the expense of all the machine work and creating new tin for the upright I may just go for this as it looks pretty tidy...

I have everything from when it was due to be fitted only issue is that it was from a Wedge so not sure all will fit but I'm sure I can make it work...

Cheers though Sparkywig 😉👍👍
