Exactly what the title says:
all parts are second hand and being replaced because i am going through a full engine teardown and rebuild with new parts. i dont know the overall mileage that the engine has done, but what i do know is that i've been running the engine for 18months and the engine hasnt missed a beat. i have travelled over 6000 miles with it and half of that was this summer around france and northern italy.
Fuel pump: this is a Type 4 pump and is in perfect working order. there is a slight amount of wear to the tab that engages with the cam but nothing really serious as the pictures show
cylinders and pistons: these again are good working set. all cylinders and matching pistons labelled corespondingly. A compression test was carried out just before the engine was dropped about 1 month ago and all were between 130-150, so no compression issues with these. one cylinder has the inner outer most fin broken from a previous owner attempting to get hed off (I presume). this doesnt stop the engine from being torqued up correctly because, although it is right next to the head it isnt a mating face. Pics below:
You can see from the following pics that there is some carbon deposits on the conbustion faces of the the pistons but i think i'd be worried if there wasnt and considering they had been used Note that you MAY NOT come with the gudgen pin
