It's just my bloody luck! As winters coming which put's the mockers on me playing around with my cars on the driveway, i turn to my X-box 360 for my entertainment thoughout the winter months...... was playing Gears of war 2 earlier and the feared red ring of death appeared on the front panel

I'm screwed now because i can't be arsed to walk the pub in the cold and reading books is not a look i'm diggin :(

put a jumper on and get out on the drive!

Oh! why did you have to suggest that, i was trying to make excuses because i hate working in the cold

Don't bother with the 'towel trick'. It'll work, but in a few hours you'll get the same problem (ours did anyway).

If you've had the xbox less than 3 years you can return it to Microsoft and they will replace it - that's honest truth. So if it is get on the phone to them tomorrow.

If it's older than 3 years, do what I did and order an 'xecutor RROD Pro kit' from Kanection (http://www.kanection.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;). It'll cost you less than £20 (inc postage) and a few hours of your time. But it works and (touch wood) our 360 has been going for over a month with no problems at all :)

Good luck :)

Failing that I'll buy the xbox off you for £20 :)
