Hankook 195x50x15 and 195x60x15, the 50's are cheaps as chips because loads of modern ***** use them, the 60's are slightly more expensive but still not bad.

Hi Gadget Boy,

can i please ask a Q. I have heard of many chaps using the stmart car tyres. Why?????
Do they fit the org wide 5's???

Just woundering, thats all.

marcher :D

i think ive got 185/65/15 all round

should i keep em all the same size?

if not what should i put on the front, it lowered about 4-6" at the front, 1 spline at the rear. whats the idea of putting smaller ones on the front??

on american eagle 5 spokes

General G/T's 225x70x14 on stock rims, a friend of mine got 150 squid off four tyres for his japmobile just by googling it, give it a go you never know! what size are you after Scampi ?

I'm on 185/15/55 on the front and 185/15/60 on the rear at the moment.

Thinking of changing the rears though to 185/15/65?

Slammedresto, personally I do it as it gives my van the slight rake look but not to OTT if you know what I mean but I guess it's personal preference.

Just curious guys that's all! Seeing what make tyres people use or everyone just used ditch finders?

so you guys dont use 8plys/van tyres

tell me if im wrong

see im going to be changing my wheels soon and im worried about what tyres to get

do i get 8ply/van tyres or just normal?

Hi ya Marcher the smart car tyres some of the split guys use are the 145 sizes off the front. I WONT run anything less than a 175 (the rear tyre from a smart ) cus i want my van to stop not lock up and slam into something . Another good reason is that by running 175s on the front i have great clearance and no fouling issues even though she isnt tubbed .
Also by runnig 175 /65/r15 pirellis on the rear i get great speed due to a high tyre wall and good clearance again. I dont have to take the shock off to get the wheel off even thogh she is a 2 spline drop .
I have well last august just fitted creative adjustable spring plates and im looking forward to trying them out :D
And yes they do fit standard 15" rims . It has taken a fair bit of tim to get my wheel and tyre combi rite though

And mk2matt the weight of a unloaded van is roughly just a ton I believe so normal car tyres will have no probs taking the weight . Most car tyres are weight rated at 500kgs each and even a fully loaded Westy doesnt weigh 2 tons .

Gadget

currently running firestone 185/60/15 all round

got a great deal on em thru a tyre website, and local place who use referrals thru the website did em even cheaper, fitted

wondering wether to change the fronts when i get my csp disc kit on tho, as they narrow the track 10mm each side
