Hi, this is puzzling me...

I've just fitted a steel framed full width rock'n roll bed (very similar to the bluebird one) into my bus. The wooden boards screw on to the frame. I have 4" foam ready to go. Next stage, is getting some vinyl covers made up. I've been told the foam needs to be upholstered onto the boards so that it can't slip around but, if the boards and foam are covered together, how do I then screw the boards back on to the frame without drilling holes and screwing them on from the back?

Can anybody throw some light on this or tell me what you did? (I've also been told by the trimmer that the big piece of foam above the engine would need to be upholstered onto a board too.

Any input appreciated! :D

I wouldnt upholster to the board personally, do the foam and secure to the boards via what ever method you prefer
poppers
velcro
large zips
eylets fitted to tabs and screw down or folding catch

theres many options out there pick one that suits

Like Aaron says above. Personally I've always used velcro.

agree with Araon and Jabbo. don't understand why the rear piece over the engine bay needs fixing to a board. they weren't origionaly. Havn't done this when i did mine and it works fine. if you don't have the spare wheel in the back you will need a board to cover the well to stop the foam sinking into it though.
