dear all

i am a bit at my far end i am trying to gte my van ready for stanford hall but at this rate i will be a registered drunk!!!

i have a 1970 devon conversion when i got it, it had a pop top with clear sections in it but the poptop didn't really have any life left in it so i bought a second hand roof and soild white poptop and fitted it. The new ish roof also came with bunks mechanisism which i have just had new bunks made for.

i came to fit my bunks yesterday and the poles need cutting to fit in the roof space, ie to look like all the other vans i have been show, JOHNNY thanks for the pics

when looking at my van i noticed i had these two small posts at the rear of the van quite far apart

this pic is from years ago by the way!

then i noticed i have two at the front very close together are these brakets for another form of bunk if so would these fit my van better

i think with a bit of love with a large hammer an angle grinder and a sewing machine the bunks will fit but i thought i would just check first

thanks in advance

Looks very much like Danbury bunk mounts to me. Probably somebody has changed ther Danbury roof for a Devon one at some point in the past. That would also account for why the Devon bunks poles were too long. Have a look at the back of your bus, is there a Danbury badge just above the engine lid?

I agree. The front mounts are closer on a Danbury as the front of the bunk tapers to a lesser width at the rear.
