right after the chrome trim debate and it seemed to go down better than most of you expected ;)

i am posing another question , i am thinking of fitting usa side marks like this bus

a freind of mine has just finished restoring a dormobile and the rear section he welded in came from the state so he left the markers in and it does look quite nice

i think with my bus being stock and with the chrome rims and whitewalls it might be a nice touch

opinions welcomed and photoshoped images if anyone fancies it heres my bus below

i must point out mine is a rhd

I've got them and like the side markers at night on the rear - would like to light up the front ones - though I like them as they hark to my buses US past.....so on Rhd they will look good but may confuse the spotters :)

Evning.

I wouldnt if i had the choice again and mines a States Bus.
Dont think they look good and when i put mine back together after the paintjob i wish i'd had the holes welded up.

Hi Lobie, afraid I'm kind of going to echo what others are saying.

I'm the one with the US rear end on my UK bus (see 1st post). At the time I though it might be kind of cool to leave them on the rear.

Its hardly like its original as its gone from a tintop delux microbus to a badly done dormobile camper conversion (previous owner I hasten to add - obviously rectified by me :D ), its not a VW colour, its got Jag seats, Ford engine   (all me I'm afraid). So I thought why not leave the side markers on the US rear end (plus after 7 years I was fed up of welding ha). Sort of wish I'd deleted them now - in much the same way as I wish I'd realised that the badge bump on the front panel was not supposed to be there on early busses DOH!!.

Your's is a nice original UK Devon so seems a bit of a shame to do it to me, however it is your bus (and its not like a little thing like side markers would spoil it) so if you want to - go for it. Certainly wouldn't drill any holes though - stick 'em on if you do it.

to be honest i ve given it some thought and think maybe everyone is right its a uk bus and i think the way it looks at the mo is just enough :)
