Van runs but cuts out under acceleration????

hi, i've recently rebuilt and re-bushed my 34 pict 3 solex carb, i've just pout it back on my van and it starts and idles although i think this needs adjusting but when i try to accelerate it just splutters and cuts out, anbody have any soluitions? is it a case of adjustments need to be made on the carb or have i done something more serious wrong? cheers!

What distributer have you got with it?

Check the accelerator pump diaphragm to see it it is split.
