Hi guys

A good friend gave me a left side rear window with an opening vent window.
The frame and rubber was really bad but the glass was there and it was free.
I bought a NOS vent window frame and some new rubber.
It was easy to take apart - the frame being half perished from rust.

Now I have to put it back together but cant seem to get it back in the new (tight) frame.
The bottom tab seems to be removable? should I put that in after the window is put in the outer frame?

Thank you for your help.

G.

Crap! My pivot in the bottom is broken off. Can I just glue it with a strong adhessive maybe?

I'd imagine it would need welding back in. If you think about all the stresses on that pivot, adhesive wouldn't be enough.

Or do what I did and get sliders.

you can get some really crazy glue these days. But I guess yiu are right.

I decided to TIG weld the tab from the underside. I will let you know if its working out.

I had this happen when I did mine. I welded from the inside if the frame with glass out and it works purfectly. You will need a new seal for the glass I posted all the details when doing the job I'll find you the link
