Sold the t3and bought the van, managed a local weekend away before winter set in
Thinking of booking one of the vw weekend events, normally do just sandown as its local.
There's 4 of us ,2 kids fairly young, like a live band ,but not party animals these days and don't really want to drive for hours to get there
Any show/camping weekend recommended?
Quite like the look of busfest but its a bit expensive when you add fuel and food and the odd beer
Wasn't sure if this should be in the general camping section
Thanks
Matt

We have also been thinking of doing a vw event and camp, but with one baby and a 7 year old it cannot be to lively  .......oh how life has changed. Dont want to travel too far as well as i work lates so in summer i'll only get back early morning saturday. We live in Newquay.
MATTT it might help if you let folk know where you are :msn4:

Highly recommend the cornwall event held just outside Falmouth August bank holiday weekend, we were fortunate enough to attend quite a few last year but this was one of the best, also quite close to where you are in Newquay .

I'm in Surrey
I don't mind a long drive but the kids will have other ideas

Will look out for that one in Fal, Cheers Ashys.
We gave up a lot to'' live the dream '', including loosing more than half my old salary but we want to raise the boys here in Cornwall.
No regrets, moneys not everything.

It's a bit out of your way but I here good things about white noise in thetford this year supposed to be very children friendly

We are in Surrey to and generally do the following;

Elemental (Stansted way)
Usually a few to choose from in Kent eg Apex, Kent VW Festival
Stonor Park, Henley

Well had a look through a few lists of events
Cheers for the suggestions,I think we are doing chilli farm steam fair or the Folkstone spin off on the same weekend, like the look of both of them though

That weekend is handy as we can go Friday early as the schools shut that day
Has anyone off here done the chilli farm one?
