Unfortunately the original bumper that I assume has been leading the way on the van for the last 49 years has met it's maker following a collision with a careless third party, so it needs to be replaced.

Can anyone provide some feedback on the VW Heritage bumpers, they're not cheap and they say are made from the same gauge steel as OE but they also sell original fit overiders which they suggest don't fit their own repro's bumpers, so the shape must be different.

If they aren't the same I'll source a good condition original.

Can anyone highlight the differences?

Hi do you mean the rear ones they do?
I I did have one fitted on mine ,
They have sort of 45 degree cut ends not rounded,
They fit ok but you have to drill holes and I think there was a mounting bracket on the inside you have to remove
Not sure about over riders though
And I wouldn't of said they were as thick as OG
That said they do the job ok
The only other option is the stainless ones
Hope that helps

Ahh
Just had a look on vwh
The Ones they sell there look more like the original ones
That was not the one I had
Sorry

We've used the front and mixed matched them with original parts , can't tell the difference.

Good stuff, that's exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks for the feedback.
