Every year we go to Cornwall in the camper at least once. One day we will need a mechanic in this place of many buses, however we have never spotted a garage.

Can anyone recommend places to get a quick fix nr Truro, Falmouth and on the north coast say Wadebridge.

Obviously we hope that their services won't be required but I just know there has to be some great places to get a fix.

Cheers

we are here to help...we bend over backwards to make certain that you continue your holiday with the minimum fuss. The bonus is we are earlybay specialists backed up by an awesome parts supplier...me

Cheers for that, is there anyone nr Falmouth or St Austell ?

Although nothing's very far away.

Yep! Nigel is good. He built my engine for my fastback back in 96 which is still going strong in my bus now. He also painted my fastback and did a great job.

There is also Graham Lake, "Grayspeed53" on vzi, works out of Darcroft Garage just east of Bodmin on the A30.

Yes and drove somewhere close today on the way to Gunwalloe.

Cant recommend Evil Bens highly enough. Hes in Chacewater bear Truro, along with about 5 other VW specialists

Well, we broke down, I spoke to Ben of Evilben who was happy to fix her if the RAC were not able to do so. The RAC mechanic was spot on, he pulled the alternator pulley off I couldnt get hold of Ben so tried one of the other businesses at the Chacewater and we bought a new pulley, two fan belts and a shaft key.

The new parts were fitted and the bus back up and running five minutes after we got back.

This rest of the holiday went without incident.

Great stuff.

The guys at Chacewater are awesome. RetroDubs even shipped a new throttle cable direct to my campsite when mine snapped earlier this year.
