Summat to do with being able to cruise at higher speeds from a 1303 box.


Might have to look into it myself when finances will let me.

Theres a 1303 gearbox/rolling shell on ebay did they share the same box?

I've heard that they work good are they hard to fit and odes anyone make them new still or is it a case of finding an old beetle one?

You'll need a 1303s or similar box (I got a 1302)
The conversion kit from Roadhouse Retro.
+ Labour unless you got skills.
Possibly a new clutch too as you need one suitable for the beetle box.

This conversion added 20mph to my top speed. Well worth it
