Rear brake backing plates for my 68 bay wanted. Someone should start reproducing these and for splits to. Very hard to get. Or at least I am finding it so. :D

Whoever plans to make backing plates for splits and bays, could be a rich man! Not a difficult task, just need the correct equipment!

Not a difficult task !? I think you'll find it is very difficult just making a template will take hours.

Well pardon me. A few hours to make the template!! Sorry I am not an engineer otherwise I would use a few hours and make a template. Then sell them!! :p

I was just trying to explain that making a template out of copper then harden steel will take hours for the matching pair, that is of course if you have access to a lathe and milling machine which are CNC then you have to have a hydraulic press which is around 100+ ton and a power pack, to press the templates together, then you will have to weld the two sections with a spot welder, that's the basic shape next is the handbrake section and the brake shoe adjusters.

But if you can do that in a few hours great I'll call my engineer and tell him to stop work.
