Hello Magoo,

The right colour for 68's to 71's early bay commercial hubcaps is silver gray L70X. Which is a light grey :?
Something like this: http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=1908774" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

L345, called light grey officialy, is for late commercial splits and is more of a tan or beige grey :?

Cheers!

The WW site have stated it wrong then since they are claiming up to 1970 for L345.

I fancy a set of grey hub caps. My tinware looks a very close match to silver grey L70X, it's powder coated RAL 7037 Dusty Grey.

Hi Magoo,

Yes, WW are wrong! I did a serious research. Many documents confirm that L70X was the colour code for VW's commercial hubcaps 68 to 71. Have a look at this pictures...the green panel is from a 69/70 commercials brochure.
