WANTED - RECON RHD STEERING BOX FOR A 71 MODEL BAY

As title. I know these are hardto find but any info leading to the purchase of one would be gratefully accepted. Or info how to get around the problem of a failing one! ie, how easy/hard to convert to a later one.

I have a got a RHD steering box of a 70 there is no play in it. I'll try and get some pics of it up.

There is a slight cut mark in the thread where somebody has cut the arm off if you can see it,but otherwise it seems ok. I bought it about 5 yrs ago when I thought mine was ko'd.

Ill check the part number and get back to you - may be a few days as the van isnt here at the mo due to having a new drive laid. I would still prefer a recon unit too but yours looks pretty good! I just dont want to be led into false economy by forking out money on something that may not last. Im probably sounding fussy now.

No totally understand, if it helps going bus types at weekend (to have a look at it). If not sold will be taking with to sell.

Most recon units are very poorly done and wear out very quickly. You are much better off buying a known good used box. Many boxes are ruined by being adjusted up too tight - make sure you do it properly. PinkPanther's box will fit your van.

BTW - don't scrap your old one! It may be saveable. I buy them for parts.
