Hi
Anybody else found wasp nests in their California imported vans?
They were in the engine cooling ducts agh....

Yep mee too, had all of the above.

Spiders in the petrol tank area, wasps nests under dash and in the front vents and a mouse nest in the front splash pan and both front chassis legs filled with straw

This lot came out of the front of one of the chassis legs.

yeah, loads of wasps nests, ive left one in the cooling vents for a souvenir, had a call from a the importer to say the container and other vehicle was full of black widows! i left the bus outside for a few days in the cold! also had a massive moth hatch in the engine bay one day when the weather warmed up!!

The wasp is Cali's state bird!! LOL  Ok, not really but we sure do have a ton of them where I live. Constantly carrying wasp spray in the summer. That is also the one thing that made laying out in the pool no fun. They always came to the pool for water.

You guy's think you have rat nests and debri. This is how my pan looked when I pulled it down. No wonder the pedels wouldn't budge! LOL

All and all I sucked about 6 or 7 gallons ( using my 5 gallon shop vac as a measuring tool, LOL) of that stuff out of my bus. Hubby calls it the rat bus. Sadly, they were not pack rats. LOL No treasures in all that mess.

I did luck out and where the bus was kept, there were no wasps, so I didn't have to deal with that. Either that or the rats used the wasp nest for nesting material. LOL

Were the Black Widows dead OLIVE-BAY.

About half a dozen were dead and crispy :| but about another 8 or 9 were very much alive and running  I did get a photo or two I'll see if I can find it...the thing that shocked me was that my van was not laid up at any point ie it was being used daily over there  :confused0068: :facehugger:
