while under my van fitting new trackrod I noticed a wet patch on the lefthand side of the box section behind the front bumper, so I drilled a hole into it and about 1/2 pint of water came out , drilled another hole on the righthand side ,same again ! Ive now drilled 1/2 dozen 8mm holes across the whole section , so it wont buildup again and I can waxoyl when it dries out. Any idears where the waters getting in ?

Got any holes in your headlamp bowls? thats where water used to get in on my 78 devon.

Or round the wiper spindles. When it has dried out fill the entire area with anchor wax or waxoil as you suggested. I have found anchor wax to be better than waxoil, it goes on better and is a bit cheaper. Shaun at 50-67 stocks it.

Also check you seals on the indicators and waxoil in behind the indicator housing if you can
