They have them in stock now.....

I have not been on here for a while, just been very busy as you will see.......

I'll be working on more new ABS panel masters this month (just bought a '73 Bus for test fitting new products, new ideas and showing off the products too) like the LONG panel, in front of the rear seat 1/4's, non walk thru bulkhead, up on top of the engine compartment area....and more.

Plus getting more split Bus interior panels to make too!

Even have on my list to do are Vanagon / Syncros interior panels too!

The '68 - '73 Fiberglass Westy luggage rack mold is done and we will soon be making the first parts from it in the next week or so. These will have a full FG bottom like the later models (no steel bars) and option for you to use the stock tie downs or marine outer flush mounted mounts. Plus a thick white gel coat unlike the OEM compressed molded without a skin coating process.

Happy better New Year to everyone!

Whats the difference then with the >70.5 and 70.5> engine bays that require a different firewall panel?

Hiya All,

Being Stateside myself I have bought from werksberg in the past. Matter of fact, I was so impressed with his kickpanels (as seen on another Bus) that I went all the way down to LA to buy a set. Well, OK, I was down there for other reasons too, but I had "Buy werksberg kickpanels" at the top of my "Things to do in LA List". The quality and the fit is simply top-notch; you won't find better.

So, my British brothers, get yourself on over to Bus&Camper as quickly as your Type 2s will get you there. You just gotta check these out.

The '68 to '71 (maybe '70.5) Bus has 1x long DS panel (unless you have the 4 smaller inset panels which I'm also working on...) and 1x small PS panel. The 2x piece kit will work in place of the 4 piece inset panels as then you will attach them to the 1" square frame work.

The '72 only had 2 equal six panels that are punched out steel with holes and almost the same but reversed. I may will make them but I have too many other more important master to make first.

Then in '73 came the type 4 engine with a 2 piece panels as then you had the top of the engine hatch panel too. The Factory never made a panel for it but I did so mine is a 3x piece kit.

I don't make them (YET...if people will be willing to pay much extra for them...) with the 770x holes like the OEM hard board panels...but IMO they only did the holes to lighten up that weak board from falling / drooping down from the weight.

I may make some in the tempered hardboard kits but the ABS plastic is a superior material that they back then didn't have....

Hi ya Bookus and thanks for telling me about this forum! ;) Happy better new year! can't get much worst....I hope not!

Cheers for that yeah I love the Kicks real nice quality, the fibre board that came out of my 71 was the 4 piece so yeah I'll be going for the 2 piece, is the shop not selling the rear 1/4s?

That 4 piece "fiberboard" may be asbestos......!

If you remove that, you can add 1" PUR foam board with alum skins glued to the top of the engine compartment with like Liquid nails type of a glue. Then install the ABS plastic panels using the alum oversize rivets or my new Nylon mollys and the bend over tabs along the outer perimeter.

They did order up the rear 1/4's and more but the boat left the states before i could get them done and to the East coast in time.

He now has a state side East coast shipping rep and we will be getting more and different panels on the way to you folks.

Just remember, he has to pay for shipping these quality parts all the way from the OC in So. Calif. to the UK so his prices will reflect that too. If I would have to ship individual orders over...it would even more costly for the parts. But with these ABS panels....they can out last your Bus!

I'll look into that other site....thank you! JM

PS: I would also like to thank the owner and the mods of this forum for allowing me to get the word out about these products... ;)
