would any of u who have a westy continental fitted in your early take pics of how the pillow board is held up into place once you have set the bed for the night . I dont mean the hinges onto the main bed . I mean what holds it into place when pulled round to complete bed
cheers

Jon

There is a wire rod that is held onto the roof with two metal loops, the rod is about 8" long and is shaped so that when you swivel it round it leaves two 'fingers' pointing out and the pillow rests on these, sorry not a great explanation but i dont have a pic, ive taken my roof bed out for now as the kids dont use it and to save weight, but the rod is still in as i drilled 4 holes to fix the loops.

Just

found this, you can see the bracket at the far end

Thanks Just,

I have said wire rod, one concern i have how does the metal rod stow away? as i seem to catch my head on it or have worries it will rip canvas.

cheers

this should fold back out the way when the top is up and fold down when not, there is not a lot of room to fit this in an early but it will work. I haven't caught myself yet, but have fallen though the hole once

mine stows away with out hitting the canvas, my sons climbs in and out without catching himself.
Will post up some photos tomorrow m8.
