Hi All, just wondering what material/type of wood the interior panels are on my 70 Westy :)

I am currently changing mine but do I just go down to my local B & Q or woodyard or are the panels a different type of material to that readily available?

Thanks! :)

the panels are made from Baltic Birch Ply which is 6mm thick and its very hard to get hold of over here i think you will find..

I have just replaced mine. The roof panels are 3mm Baltic Birch which I got in 5x5 sheets from Arnold Laver Timberworld.

I used 4mm 8x4 sheets for the sides as they do not do 3mm in 8x4.

There is a branch in Birmingham:

Nice one Mathaus....

thats a bit closer than the other suppliers i've found for 5x5.... :D

cannot find it anywhere in my neck of the woods but a trip to the outlaws and i can get my timber panels sweetens the deal a little

I'm using 4mm ply (not baltic birch as its well difficult to get) for my side panels, with 2 coats of yacht varnish to both sides.
I still have to feather the edges down to get them to fit into the original kombi channels, which originally had 3mm hardboard panels.
