I am happy with my pair from Slamwerks!
I would love Slamwerks but as mine is a crossover I need late bay ones so Slamwerks don't fit
Rob

Hi Rob
I didn't think there was a difference between early & late (may be wrong though), have you spoken to the boys at slamwerks?

Number of splines on torsion bar is different.

Fair enough, don't touch lates so wouldn't know     ,

I only know because Simon at Red9 sent me the wrong plates, and early springplates are shorter as well....

I previously had T2D ones, but have just ordered T/Haus ones for my new bus.... They are the same high tensile steel so you won't get fatigue issues and have the same adjustment as the others on the market....

I bought the T/Haus ones as I am confident the quality will be good and the price is very reasonable.... Alex and Scott don't seem to add too much scene tax...

I'm sure t2d get these off CE anyway as they get there beams from Slamwerks

I like the transporterhaus ones just not seen maybe using them that's all

Cheers rob

They are identical to look at as the CE/T2D ones, and are made of the same material.. worth considering in my view...

T/Haus have only just starting making these as far as I know, hence you might not have heard too much about them.....

I don't want to sound like I'm saying 'buy these' at all.. I am just pointing out an alternative.. I haven't got mine yet so can't comment too much on them.. perhaps worth giving Scott a call at VW Classics, I know he's fitted a set to a bus in his workshop...

I'd shop on price and availability, the latter being key. If anyone has them there, in stock, then buy them. TBH unless you are going uber uber low with body mods, then any of the springplates are capable of doing the job perfectly.

I've got transporterhaus springplates and they are great quality so much better than dropping the spines ay the rear. Only thing I will say is make sure they are in stock as I had to wait a while for them to arrive. However the cost was loads less than T2D etc

So I got these today in the post from cool air only ordered them yesterday on my coffee break at 11am

I just received a set of transporterhaus plates from Scott Wilson for my 72
What rubber bushing do you use on the inside? Are they the same as stock? The inner OD is now bigger than the outer

Personally, I like the Slamwerks ones best, a couple of nice refinements (ball ended adjusters and slightly more kick) over the older CE / T2D design.

But we've got the CE/T2D ones on ours as being crossover too it was the only game in town when we did them.

On the upside, Heritage do brand spanky new rear torsion bars for reasonable money for crossovers / late bays and they were a big improvement over the saggy, soft originals when fitted them to ours. Did them at the same time as the spring plates as it was all in pieces anyway so seemed a good opportunity 8)

Half moon boys aren't half so lucky
