Considering it for my van. Have many people used it? what kind of finish does it give? Does it get sticky in the hot sun? etc

What is your experience.

Thanks

This was my van before I ankor waxed the bodywork...

Some might ask why I did it as the sun-bleached look is nice, however I think it looks much better now... Was a bit messy applying it, and its still a bit tacky to touch.. but I'm happy with it...

Just got to find somewhere I can do the underside now...

Good for covering up rust if you like the rusty look, stops it getting worse, my bro in law sells it on ebay or you can contact him ( Mark ) at http://www.thebusbarn.co.uk" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;. His split is covered in the stuff and I didnt notice it get sticky in the hot weather.

if you apply sparingly you`ll barely notice the stickiness , overapplied don`t go down to the beach on a windy day unless you like the texture of sandpaper

Most people put it on without realising how much hard work is required to get a good finnish, it will keep the moisture out but theres lots of buffing needed to get rid of brush strokes and make it tack free....

You got his ebay shop name or anything dude? Did a search for AW the other day and didn't find anything.

He goes by the name ffilby on ebay, spoke to him earlier and he only has a couple of bottles left which he said he might be listing this weekend.
I think they are £9 a bottle posted but dont quote me and a bottle should do a van.

If you dont see any on ebay call him at the bus barn tuesday to thursday.

I thank you sir. :D

I guess its o.k to apply ankor wax onto paintwork too then??
My bay has got a rusty roof and bumpers, do I just brush the stuff on and how do I get a nice buffed finish with it??

Yes you can but be aware the colour will darken and to buff it up Lots of elbow grease.....

if your wanting a polished look then any wax will work at preventing rust or water penetration

Ankor wax is very good at what it does but its not the panacea that people in the "scene" seem to think, have a look at the shows theres many busses streaked in the stuff and it looks awful in so many instances....

The bed & any other slightly rusty bits on my crewcab were covered in it without being buffed off. Left like this it definitely gets sticky in the warm weather. I washed it off with thinners, got high as a kite & I was doing it outside  It seems to change the rust into something that's almost impervious to anything. I did it about 16 months ago & none of it has got any new rust bloom at all.
