just thinking about the door cards I have, a bit marked and tired - want to change them to dark red. I can't see any reason why auto paint wouldn't work on them, providing they are cleaned properly, plastic primed and coated well.

can anyone see a problem with that?

it will look good untill you need to put them back on or touch them as the paint dose not flex. and then it will crack and just fall off. seen it happen loads :(

There is something available called vinylcote for such applications.

Years back I tried Plasticote - it didnt work.

So I'd probably need something like this then?

I painted some puma's back in the day with leather paint (dunno why I did it must have been a bit silly in the head) and it worked very well.
The paint sprays on very easily and dries fast.
Just go to your local shoe shop.

spoke to the fella at brooks car paint and they do a vinyl/leather paint especially for this sort of thing I'm doing it .Frankie

Hiya Doris,

Paint for vinyl interiors is quite common on this side of the pond.

Take a look at this from DupliColor.............
