I was working as a lifeguard in the early 90's in Peranporth Cornwall, a few mates had them.
They were easy to repair, cheep on parts and at that time there were loads of breakers around nr newquay and fraddon so bits were easy to get hold of, some of those parts seem an unbelievable bargain now!.
I was hooked- Oh and i could easily get the mountain bike and boards in it! I'm on my third now after deveation into Mk2 Golf Gtis and Leon cupras- there great but cast a fortune to run and depreciate quicker than...............

Got into them as a pratical classic & re live my youth- if only it were true eh...?!
But i still get stung by unexpected bills every now and then!

Got into campervans in the early 70`s,Bedford and various BMC`s.Then when my eldest decided he wanted to be a mechanic with an interest in VW`s I got hold of a old bug that stood in a friends front garden for a few years. Since then Ive owned 2 bugs 1 split and 2 bays. Its the shapes that I love and the fact that you can unbolt them like a big kit; if I was more capable I would fit a modern engine for performance, economy and reliability.
