What jobs do we do?

we could expand on this with our current job followed by the worst/weirdest job we ever did?

I've worked on a Pelagic Trawler (MVF Westerdale) for several months. Frequent 18 hour working days in 5 meter waves, at sea for 4 weeks at a time and only landing for a few hours and back out again. The money was crazy, but it was offset by the terrible conditions; 4 hours sleep a night, a coffin for a bunk, oil and fried food smells all day long not nice if you have chronic sea sickness lol. I lost 2 stone in two weeks and had to take 3 days off to recouperate but i stuck at it.

I remember we were in a pub in Cairnryan got kicked out of the pub after winning to many games of pool and the ferrymen were baying for blood, and the tide had gone out, Serveral of the crew were too dunk to negotiate the 20ft ladder back on to the boat. We had to winch them down (passed out) in a fish box using the boats crane. it was a funny night.

Well its an awkward one not sure you could call it a job, career or calling but going back a few years now following a nasty divorce and CSA baying for blood I joined an agency and did a bit of ahem escorting....Man that was a wierd time in my life....good money and fun at times but hell was it hard work got to meet some great people and some ****** up people.....

had to install a blanking plate on an outlet INSIDE one of the full sludge tanks in twickenham sewage farm when i first started out. Worst job i ever did but got 'time and a turd' after 8 hours.

Oh dear thats the last time I drink before logging on line, think I might have said too much already.... though possibly the worst/funniest experience (depends where your viewing it from), this was a while back and I was still in the forces, one of my clients (this was the first and last time I engaged this booking) was an older woman, out of my area as I was away on det for a few months, so I met her had a great night out very very fit for her age as following a divorce shed fleeced her ex and spent it pampering herself everything lifted and basically lived in the gym, anyway I digress, yeah it was a superb evening good food good company met up with her work colleagues works function an all that she was a PA for one of the execs.....clubbing watched the alcohol intake as always when on the job (fnarr fnarr).... back to "hers", unbelievable night which I'll not go into as its the wrong forum, woke up mid morning strolled downstairs and made the breakfast, loaded the tray then turned around to see a No1 uniform hanging in the dining room, oh ! thinking right shes still married and not come clean here, never mind hes not here so trotted upstairs with the tray, pics of the family on the staircase, oh another uniform this time of a young lad, ah well shes a little older so yeah she said she had kids, put the tray down, and gently woke my nights companion....anyway some time later back downstairs we got to talking over a coffee whilst she was putting her face on, and got round to her kids one daughter 10 years older than me and a son about 5 years older, ok so shes a little older than I thought, the daughter was doing well running her own shop some fashion boutique and her son was in the RAF and it was his house we were in....Ok so obviously hes based out of the area? oh if only life was that simple it turns out hes actually at the base I am currently staying he was doing a training course and was staying on base during the week due to the heavey workload.....Oh bugger nevermind its not as though shes gonna broadcast the fact shed hired someone for the night, anyway after she dropped me off at the camp gates I walked back to the barracks to hear a shout from an old friend so we walked and talked had a bit of a laugh..... well to cut a long story short by the end of the week I had an irate son trying to hunt me down, I'd acquired a new nickname Mother ******, i was the talk of the camp, I was being quized by the RAF police and admin and I had a **** load of enquiries through the agency....It turns out my mate had blabbed, she'd been gassing away to all her mates at work and the gym and to top it off she told her son and daughter and her ex.....

systems security tester.. basically legal hacking various networks (with permission) then writing a pretty report on how bad it all is!

Ok my worst job was at my current company, I was an installer for monitoring systems at hospitals, I had to install sensors for temperature, humidity , motion, etc. at refrigerators, freezers, incubators, morgues :shock: yes you read right morgues! They did not remove the dead so Juan could come and do his job, oh no Juan had to move them around to be able to reach the desired location :evil:
We also had to install them at the Pathology department were they cut and slice peoples organs and body parts , not cool
Eye center was another area we had to install our systems , hundreds of eyeballs stored in clear plastic baggies just looking at you.
Emergency rooms , non stop action and blood everywhere while Juan is trying to do his job.
I hated that job, not to mention I was only home on the weekends as I was in a different city every week. Now my younger brother does my old job :mrgreen: Hey what are older brothers for ? :lol:

I'm an ENGLISH teacher in the SOUTHERN United States. Ya'll... now that's a hoot! "Why you teachin' me this? I ain't never going to England!" Do you teach English in England, or is it a forgone conclusion that you speak the language so why beat a dead horse? I also teach theater arts... This year we are doing a spoof on "A Christmas Carol," and half of our cast must speak with a British Accent. Again... this is high school in North By God Carolina. It's actually a good gig. I get to act crazy- I'm that crazy drama teacher with the earings, tattoos, and VW busses.
But at times it can be the worse job ever...Parents can really mess a kid up!

worked on a friends farm and i fell in to the slurry pit up to my neck after being overcome by fumes, i was vomiting for two days after it awful experience but i was lucky the mixer wasn't running or i would have either been drowned or wrapped around PTO shaft.
