I know that most people fit Saab seats to there bays but what other seats fit / can be made to fit?
Was looking on Ebay and think that Saab owners / breakers have cottoned onto the fact that VW owners like there seats as some are now advertising them a direct camper replacement(think its just an excuse to bump the prices up)
Have heard that some Rover seats can be made to fit and also porsche but are htere any others? Ford? BMW?

Re-trimmed Ford seats with headrests removed

A friend of mine has just fitted MX5 seats in a T25 and they look pretty good.

Think my Dads got a set of Rover 200 seats in the garage, might fit these short term until i can find what i want.
The wife wants Saab seats although she normally sits in the back like lady muck! Its me and the daughter upfront (need the interia seat belt for her child seat) so might try and fit the Rover ones

Been offered a set of Porsche seats for £120 is this good?
They are half leather woth horizontal pinstripe fabric, think there out of a 914 (or maybe a 911)
Also seen Saab seats for £150.
Prefer the Saab seats comfort but the porsche looks (and because its the closest i'll ever get to owning a porsche!)

If you don't want the porsche seats can I have dibs please? :)

Ive got Astra gte recaro seats in mine and i have seen them in other bays, they look the dogs danglys when they are retrimmed in leather and the like, altough mine are as standard plus they are so comfy :)

I've had the van on the road now for 1 month and TBH the seats are killing me, the wife has even started looking at Cobra Bucket seats (the factory is about 2 miles away and we used to have some in our mini). As i said before think that Saab breakers have cottoned onto the fact they fit and there bumping up the price. Porsche have always been high anyway so looking for some reasonable priced seats that will do the job.

which seats did you take?

i was offered a set of lambo seats, that i didnt take as you have to be horizontal to get a comfortable position in them but they looks cool as f##k 8) .

Just to throw it in the mix.... ive sat in some Mazda MX5 seats in a buggy and i have to say they were the most comfortable ive been in yet

I picked up a seat from ebay that has fitted perfectly!
It is from a Porsche Boxster, and it is the one I 'accidently' won for £30 on the day when no one else could access ebay! Only trouble is, it is going to be a nightmare trying to find a matching one for the passenger side!

The reason it works so well is the squab is very low, so plenty of access below steering wheel, and the front corners are profiled down, so you don't have the edge of a 'bucket seat' to drop down over, if that makes sense. Really comfy - I didn't mind the original seats, but this is much better on theback. Just got to actually bolt it down now - I don't want to remove anything from the van as I like to be able to return everything to original if I want to...

Even got a place for maps!

I've sat in a couple of bays with non standard seats and not been able to reach the pedals properly! I'm not that short (5'7") but some seats like recaros have big bolster bits under your legs and are really long.

I saw a bay with early range (land?) rover seats which had arm rests on the inside edge as well! They have a similar driving position and flatish bases.
