Just wondered what seatbelts to fit in the front of our new 71 Westy to keep it reasonably authentic as it doesnt have any fitted at the moment and we need to sort some out for the mot and registration.

I've seen some cream or ivory colour ones in the Heritage catalogue

Thanks

There a black webbing the anchor point is a steel plate with a black plastic receiver and ivory thumb operated lever

wanted add on here, not seen any new/repros but then not looked

I fitted new inertia reel seat belts in mine, they are much easier to use & much safer.

Will anyone really care what belts you have in your van? I doubt if most people would even look. It is one of the single most pains in the arse putting on fixed belts. You need to have them tight to be safe, then you can't tune the radio or get to the glove box.

You will regret fitting them. I junked mine from day one.

I've still got the OG fixed belts in mine, pain in the arse frankly......as soon as the paint is done, inertias it is!!!!!

Got those ones in my 72- but just replaced them as many do with new ones, make me an offer if you wants them, they came outmy cali import and did pass the MOT before i took them out!

Ben ;)

Thanks for your replies guys, i think i will go for easy use inertia reels, so will probably go for some nice ones from Heritage
