what to do?

i need to get some paint on my van and im not sure what to do!the respary is being held back untill xmas time now so im thinkin either
get it in primer?
top half primer bottom half mad art??
or get some matt paint close to colours it will be sprayed?

any ideas?just wondered what you guys would do?

Primer alone will not protect aganst rust - it is by nature porous.

By a cheap gun and borrow a compressor and get something, anything waterproof on top to tide you over is my view.
