Whats a good working standard gearbox worth

How much is a good non whininh standard 68 gearbox worth? I am looking at changing mine and trying to decide whats the most cost effective way of doing it

I paid £150 for a CA box last year and have advertised it for the same as I've changed my plans.
Had a couple of offers, one of £25 made me laugh.

To be honest I've never paid more than £50 -£60 especially if its a bit of an unknown

i've bought two- one for £20, one for £25. they're both ****.

You can't get all the bearings for an early box so it would be worth less than a working late 1600 box.

I have sold a good running box out of my van for £150 (as in used for a couple of years and new owner could test it) and also sold a good box for £80 and again for £40.

Depends on how much someone needs one.

Sparkywig bought from a reputable trader (Ron) so the £150 I would say is fair in his case, if you leave the box in for new owners to check it is ok I would expect you to get similar; on the floow out of the van then far less

Speaking to suppliers i am looking at 2-3 months minimum so potential buyers will be able to test it firts.
