Guys, I'm fitting an aerial to my bus as the radio now and then would be a good change from the iPod. Simple job I imagine right?

The thing is I'm not sure where to mount the aerial on the front panel.
Is it left/right side, double or single mount?
I've seen many different ways they have been fitted. Is there a correct aerial/side that it should go or is it down to personal preference?

Cheers! :D

I think the answer is a single mount on the drivers side.

I say this as I believe dual mounts are an aftermarket addition and are liked because at high speeds/winds, the aerial is more secure and won't flap about so much.

The drivers side so you can lean out from inside the van and pull it up/extend it

Could be totally wrong logic though :D

Originally they were single mount in the bulge on the near side (kerb side) of the bus.

I dont know why but this is where they were.

This picture shows the aerial fitted from new

did wonder myself - mines a single mount on the other side than the RHD in the picture - it's a LHD so would be on the kerb side of the bus, but opposite to the driver, which would make sense
