Hi Guys,

Just wondered where you guys go to buy your hand tools online? Need a few bits and bobs and thought I would ask :)

Take care

J

all depends on what i am after and how much i want to spend.
Normally i get tools from car boots as for the price of a cheapo nasty socket set you can get properly made stuff and have enough change for a bacon roll.
problem is that you won't always find what you want.

Fair point :) I never get the time to head to a car boot these days. Been looking at ebay and justoffbasetools so far, only need a few bits and not too expensive at that!

before my lad worked at halfords i use and still do for the more tech stuff my local motor factors (RAE Motors, Hinckley) but shame not to use my discount card at halfords...................

Have an eclectic mixture of everything from Snap-On to car boot sale tat these days...

Tend to use Halfords Pro socket sets, they're quite reliable it seems, good guarantee and often good offers have enabled me to get a full kit for under £100. Ratchets and spanners are Snap-On, as is ratchet screwdriver, sidecuts and pliers. All of the other stuff has come in from eBay... I have a running search on for Snap-On, Mac, Britool, Kennedy and Kamasa gear as that's what I've enjoyed using over the years.

Buy good stuff and use the right tool for the job and things tend to be less traumatic.

Cheers!
