Which Bike Rack

Not sure if this is posted in correct place, but here goes any way.
I am looking to buy a bike rack that goes on the back of my van. Ideally it would take 4 bikes and leave access to the engine bay (obviously!) while the rack is loaded with bikes. Read on here about an issue with the Fiamma rack causing rear door seal leaks, can this rack be fitted to the cutter instead? Not sure about Thule racks as I cant find a model.
Any thoughts or advice would be most welcome.

I use the Pendle strap-on one (oo-er!)- the second one down in this link:

It only takes 3 bikes but doesn't impede the engine bay and as it's not specifically made for an old VW it doesn't have the inflated price like the fiamma...got mine for £30 off evilbay :mrgreen: Doesn't pinch the rear hatch seals too so it all stays dry in the rain.

Can the rear door support the weight without damagng it?

Hi all

I'm just kicking around the idea of a bike carrier for 3 to 4 bikes. As I said above, can the rear door support the weight or would I be better with a tow bar and mout the bike stand on that. (I don't see that I would ever actualy tow anything with the towbar.)

Have a tow bar rack Thule one ... model ... cant remember

Brilliant bit of kit ... one downside is security ... always worried about me expensive mountain bikes when their on there ... a mate had his stolen from his tow bar rack on his car :evil: ... B***ards cut through three cable locks :shock:
