Not been on a really long journey in myvanway, just didnt know weather its worth while fitting them on a standard lump.

Why dont you compromise and get one of the temp dipsticks that connects to your oil light and flashes when it gets too hot? It might give you the peace of mind you want for a few quid and easy installation?

If you modified your engine then it's nice to monitor the oil pressure and oil temperature, it's nice to know what happens back there during extreme heat and cold better safe then sorry.
And once you know your engine you don't look at them often.

I have bought some "paranoid" gauges as i think it will help stop me getting bored on long journeys.....Yep you are never bored with paranoia :lol:
