Just wondering out of the following which alternator should I go for? Does anyone have experience of a good replacement?

Give Peter Good a ring, he will be supplying me with my replacement alternator and he REALLY knows his onions
The guy knows more about starter motors and alternators that anyone.

Just bought my new alternator from Volksgoods, top bloke, top service! And a much better price than anywhere else!

I had a starter motor off him 4 years ago too, if that helps make your decision easy?

Thanks Do Volksgood supply Bosch ones?

Daft question maybe, but why do you want a Bosch one in particular?

If you think it is German and will be better than the rest, then you may want to think again. Bosch have been in India since the '50s and it is very likely that a new manufactured unit rather than an exchange originated there, but says Bosch on the label rather than "Made in India".

Just a thought!

I bought one from my local parts place for £65 made in england looks very similar but can't remember the make. The bosch ones aren't great. If Peter is rewinding them or what every you do then you won't go wrong with him.

Thanks guys will give him a call, it seems the problem is the shaft has worn so the woodruff key is no longer a tight fit. Also don't know what damage this may have done to the bearings.

I just bought a brand new one from Peter, not rewound, made in India. More than happy with it!
