Found that if you go direct to north hants tyres, they are £52 inclusive instead of £74 ish from all other suppliers....so about a £88 saving on a set of 4...thought I'd pass that on.

On this subject, does anyone know if and where you can get a set of white wall tyres with a profile of less than 70????

I dont mean having them painted by some doods (which I know are good) but can you buy some straight off the shelf?? I have tried for ages and failed. I would love some with a 65 profile or 50 but think that this maybe impossible

Rarer than hens teeth, the states is usually the place, but cant find many over there either

It must be down to the lack of side wall for the white band molding, but missing a trick really as i know loads of doods who would buy a lower profile white / red band tyre 8)

i wonder about cost though and shipping?. If i was gonna pay for the banding to be done my tyre of choice it would have to be the hardest wearing like a Michelin MXV (not cheap), ive had 3-4 years out of one of these tyres on my clio 192 and i used to drive hard . They arent cheap but if your going to spend on bands you would want it to last.

it seems they can do it on any tyre.

I have got in touch with them and have had a result, its not cheap but here we go.

I asked for the following tyre sizes with a 10mm white wall.

2 tires 175/50 R 15 Hankook K506 with 10mm WW € / tire 167,00 incl. MwSt.
2 tires 185/65 R 15 Hankook K415 with 10mm WW € / tire 160,00 incl MwSt.
shipping to UK and your Adress per tire Euro 18,00
Time: 1 Week

So for 4 tyres delivered, i make that rougly 400 euro or about £320 all in.................

Not to bad at £80 a tyre really. 8)

They are good tyres from there, its the lower profile ones that are impossible to get. 8)

sorry he cant do white walls to them sizes but the blacks he can knock out cheap...

He did say though that some clubs and dealers hire a production line to knock out runs of 500 or so tyres to get the white walls of choice.....aint too bad if you can speak to dunlop and get a qoute and then get 100 or so guys willing to split the cost.... :lol:
