i got one of these
http://www.coveryourcar.co.uk/store/product.php?productid=16881&cat=407&page=1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

have to say i was a bit disapointed with the straps since they popped off in the wind and Ems had to hand stiched them back on, but otherwise, its been great, not blown off in the hurricanes, not let any water through when its pissed it down and not found any condensation inside it when iv taken it off.

I also have this cover, 2 problems I have found is that the front keeps popping off from under the front bumper, I intend to stitch some small hooks onto the front to hold to the bumper. and where the cover meets the jacking point it has torn on all 4 corners, needs some kind of padding here.

Chris there is few threads on this, JK,Hamilton, cover your car etc. I favour the Hamilton one based on reviews and the extra space for roof rack & pop top.

I've had a Protec for about 3-4 years and it has been great. Waterproof, breathable material. When ordering you can specify roof rack, front mounted spare wheel etc. and they will alter the cover accordingly. Not cheap, but well worth the money. :)

I had a carcraft one for about a year, both straps broke and it ripped really easy and had to be stiched.

Got a JK one now and its miles better, time will tell i suppose

Hi , I had a jk one , rubbed the paint off on the corners of my fresh painted van , (seems it polished it down to the steel on the gutter and undercoat nearly on the rear corners ) so i have had to replace it with the hamilton cover as recommended on here ( http://www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk/acatalog/OutdoorCoverCarBreathableSoft.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ) .. And it seems much better , fits great and plenty of room for my roof rack that i will be getting , only had it for a few weeks but the rain just rolls off and the underside is very soft so hopefully wont do what the abrasive jk one did .

Hope this helps !

john

I might be selling my Stormforce cover soon as I am fitting 2 roof racks and this one wont fit over once that are on... its perfect for tintop though.

Avoid anything JK . I have a Hamilton one , its great if a little large

Seems very good for the money £80 odd quid delivered, the material looks very similar to my Hamilton, the only real negative looking at that is it must be a very generous fit to have that strapping system on the back or is it the front. :?

Cheers Brett,

I haven't seen the Hamilton material, but if it's similar to this one might be a good sign.
Like you said one of the issues is the strapping system on the back, don't know if it will trap water and moisture.
another part is the zipper entry, don't know if it will let water in more or if it will scratch the paint when windy...

Could I have more comments? £80 is a good deal.

Cheers

A

Go without ;-)

I've only found covers to either trap moisture under the van, or to rub the paintwork in the wind... Just keep it clean and it'll be fine.

My jk one has shat it self over the last 3 days, ripped to bits with all the wind

i bought the £80.00 when that a few people have mentioned, its no where near as generous as it looks in the pictures, i have a dormobile roof and a front rack on my van it comfortably covers these and tucks under the front and rear bumpers but its not massively baggy like it looks in the pictures!

All in all i am impressed with it for £80.00 especially! 8)

I've got an £80 maypole one, very happy with it so far. :D

DO NOT BUY THIS COVER

My Car-Zone cover from covermycar.co.uk was shredded before Christmas in the winds. Despite being in warranty I have been directed to the small print stating Force Majuere (Act of god) clause. Considering the covers are called Monsoon and Stormforce, for them to be be not covered by high winds and rain is pretty poor in my opinion.
The customer service was very bad, I was willing to pay for repairs but standard check the small print emails back. Buy elsewhere.
